Gary A. Wagner, Acadiana Business Economist Endowed Chair position at the University of Louisiana
Gary currently hold the Acadiana Business Economist Endowed Chair position at the University of Louisiana. In this role, he monitors the region’s economic environment, conduct research and analysis, and develop and maintain external stakeholder relationships on behalf of the Moody College of Business and University. His research interests range from regional economics to state and local public finance issues, with a particular focus on state rainy day funds, municipal borrowing costs, and pension systems. He has authored or coauthored more than 40 professional articles and reports. Gary is also a past recipient of Duquesne University’s College of Business Distinguished Research Award and Public Finance Review’s Outstanding Paper Award. Prior to joining the University of Louisiana in 2018, he was (most recently) Vice-President & Senior Regional Officer for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. Dr. Wagner's Presentation |
Josh Irons, CEO, River Avenue Digital
Josh Irons is the CEO of River Avenue Digital, a digital-first marketing agency that brings clarity to digital marketing & client acquisition strategies. He is charged with overseeing the agency’s people, strategy, and client portfolio. A seasoned leader and dedicated mentor of talent, he has more than 15 years of experience using digital and offline marketing tactics to grow brands and revenue at both small and large companies. Josh is a Banking Alumni. He began his career in 2000 at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia as a public relations manager and transitioned into a role where he managed the Bank’s public facing websites. He also worked in operations and bank relations helping manage the Third Districts Check 21 transition. Before founding River Avenue Digital, Josh was Chief Operating Officer at Converge Consulting, a higher education focused digital marketing agency, where he grew a team that twice made the Inc. 5000 list. Josh earned an MBA in Marketing from Villanova with a marketing specialization, a BA in Journalism, Public Relations, and Advertising from Temple University and an international business certificate from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy.
